Bio

After growing up on the west coast of Canada and studying science throughout university, Janine began her self-guided explorations in drawing and photography while living in Asia and Africa 1999-2005.
Drawing and photography expanded with painting in 2013 while living on the east coast of the United States. And when she became a road cyclist in 2018, she discovered GPS art - an art form blending athleticism and technology to create drawings on maps while riding her bike and recording with GPS.
Janine is inspired by nature, love, relationships, travel, music, dreams, movement/dance, spirituality, personal work, and the human condition. She is motivated by Martha Graham's words "keep the channel open".
